Clint Martin joined The University of Texas in April 2016 as an assistant athletic performance coach for men's and women's track and field and men's swimming. In 2015-2016, he headed up strength and conditioning for the University of Nevada men’s basketball team, under first-year head coach Eric Musselman. He was also head of strength and conditioning for the men's and women's tennis teams.

Martin came to Nevada from Iowa State where he worked as the graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach for the men’s basketball and swimming and diving teams.  The 2014 Cyclones men’s basketball team won the Big 12 tournament to earn a trip to the NCAA Championships.  The swimming and diving team posted the school’s highest conference finish placing second at the Big 12 meet.

Martin is certified by the National Strength Coaches Association and the USTFCCCA as a strength and conditioning coach.  After college he started ACE Athletics which focused on developing speed and power athletes while training in NFL free agency.  Martin also trained Olympic hopefuls in wrestling, swimming and track & field.  He has worked with professional football, track, and wrestling athletes.

As an athlete at Iowa State, he earned All-Big 12 honors four times as a sprinter on the track and field team.  Twice he qualified for NCAA Championships and twice earned All-Big 12 academic honors.
