Robert Dos Remedios
Robert dos Remedios (Coach Dos) has been involved in strength and conditioning for over 29 years. After completing his competitive football career at the University of California, Berkeley in 1988, he began training athletes on a full-‐time basis. He has a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology (with an emphasis in Biomechanics) from California State, Northridge and has been an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) since 1990.
Coach Dos is currently Professor of Kinesiology at the College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, CA. In 2006, he was the recipient of the National Strength and Conditioning Association‘s prestigious Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Professional of the Year award. This is an honor given to the top collegiate strength coach in the country (as voted on by his peers). Coach Dos is a Master Strength & Conditioning Coach as recognized by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) and is a NIKE Master Trainer and Consultant. He is the Director of Performance for the national Sports Performance Association (NSPA) and a continuing Educator for Equinox Gyms and Perform Better equipment company. Coach Dos’ first book, the best-‐selling Men’s Health Power Training (Rodale Books) was released in July 2007. In January of 2010 he released his latest book, Men’s Health Cardio Strength Training.
